DUBLIN FILM CRITICS CIRCLE ANNOUNCE JURY AWARD WINNERS AT JDIFF 2015

​Today, The Dublin Film Critics Circle has announced the Jury Award winners from the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2015 programme. The awards, now in their sixth year, have named Miroslav Slaboshpitsky's The Tribe as best film of the Festival.

Other Awards Announced: 

  • BEST DIRECTOR – Ruben Östlund – Force Majeure
  • BEST SCREENPLAY - Yuri Bykov, The Fool
  • BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY - Lyle Vincent, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night
  • BEST DOCUMENTARY – Cobain: Montage of Heck
  • BEST ACTOR – Cliff Curtis, The Dark Horse
  • BEST ACTRESS – Nina Hoss, Phoenix
  • BEST IRISH FILM - Glassland
  • BEST IRISH DOCUMENTARY – Fortune’s Wheel
  • BEST DEBUT - Chaitanya Tamhane, Court
  • MICHAEL DWYER DISCOVERY - Piers McGrail, cinematographer Let Us Prey, Glassland, The Canal
  • SPECIAL JURY PRIZE – A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Contemplating Existence
  • SPECIAL JURY PRIZE – Eden
  • SPECIAL JURY PRIZE – Tu Dors Nicole
  • SPECIAL JURY PRIZE – 10,000 KM

The jury of the Dublin Film Critics Circle comprises Tara Brady, Donald Clarke, Daniel Anderson, Brogen Hayes, Nicola Timmins, David O’Mahony, Rory Cashin and Paul Whitington.

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2015 is set to close in show-stopping fashion with our final guest, Hollywood legend Dame Julie Andrews to attend two very special events this closing Sunday, a public interview in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and our closing gala screening of The Sound of Music in the Savoy cinema at  7.30pm.
