And the Acadamy Award goes to…

Dubliner Richard Baneham is the Oscar winner in the Best Visual Effects category for his work on 'Avatar'.
Well done to Richard Baneham for winning an Oscar in last night’s 82nd Acadamy Awards in the Kodak Theatre. The Minister for Arts Martin Cullen has also expressed his congratulations.
Ireland had 5 nominations in this years Oscars, including ‘The Door’, nominated for Best Short Film, ‘Granny O’Grimms Sleeping Beauty’ nominated for Short Film (animated) and ‘The Secret of Kells’ for Best Animated Feature Film.
A very well done to all the homegrown talent from all at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival
